Wi-fi Speed

The actual wi-fi speed is 200 Mbit/s (download) and 20 Mbit/s (upload) near the wi-fi router (it's near the working place) and connection is very stable (didn’t notice any interruptions at all for more than a month of living in the apartment (no freezes watching high quality youtube videos etc.). But download speed clearly drops to 40..20 Mbit/s (upload speed also drops, but not so much) and there maybe some “freezes” if you want to work in the bed or at the terrace (it's located at the other part of the apartment and seems to me the thick walls around the entrance deteriorate the signal). I heard that the provider can offer some repeater (but I didn’t need it so don’t know the details and conditions). I’ve attached two photos showing the speed of the internet.

Dedicated Workspace

Yes, there's a dedicated place to work (see photo). The table and the chair are quite comfortable and there’s enough space on the table to work (on the photo it can look narrow, but in reality it’s ok (about 50 cm). Also, accommodation provides the computer monitor (but I don't use it). Also, there's a 4K TV just near the workplace, so there are great possibilities for output of your video data/graphs/charts/text from your computer (if you need it).

Exercise and meditation spaces

There's an open terrace (the apartment is located on the 2nd floor, counting from 0(zero) floor). It's quite spacious - about 9 sq.m and it has a nice view (see the photo). Also, there's not much but enough space to meditate or do some exercises near the workplace (see the photo). Also, there’s a small balcony (adjacent to the “room” with the workplace) but it leads to a narrow street where the house is located so it can be not very comfortable to meditate (despite the street being small and there’s almost no traffic) there. The neighborhood is quite quiet and usually I don’t hear the neighbors at all. There are good places to run. I usually run around the town and near the water channels (some of them are just 150 m from the apartment place). The big park is about 10-15 minutes by foot.

Accessibility

The town of Aveiro is not a big one, so usually you can get anywhere you want by foot (except the ocean beach - it's quite far and you need to take a bus). But the apartment is located in the heart of "old" Aveiro, so most of the POI are just "around the corner", including cafes, restaurants and a modern shopping center (I saw the people looked like "digital nomads" working in its food court). I think you can find a place you'd like to work at. The buses go regularly and the bus stop is not far from the apartment's location. Mobile internet is good (maybe not very cheap compared to other EU countries). Cafes usually have wi-fi. You can get to Porto (the second biggest city in Portugal) by train in about 1 hour and 20 minutes (it’s about 50 km from here). Train to Lisbon (the Capital) takes about 2,5 hours.

Common information

It's a studio (T0) but it has a form of a pencil box – narrow and long, so the place with the bed is "far" from the workplace and it's rather convenient (e.g. for two persons). The square is about 40 sq.m (I don’t know exactly, I think the host provided you with some documents about the exact number). It’s fully furnished. It’s totally fine to leave alone (I live alone) – there’s enough space to organize your belongings. I think it’s OK to live here for a pair but there could be some “restrictions” because of the free space. Pets are not allowed at the property. It’s not suitable for the person on a wheel chair – the studio is located on the 2nd(or 3rd) floor and there’s no lift. The apartment looks quite “new” (clean and not long ago renovated). The host provided correct information on the equipment in the apartment which I saw in the description of the property before booking it. The good supermarket (not small) is about 10 minutes by foot from the place (also there are smaller ones even closer).
