Major issue I have with Flatio is the energy costs. The fact of not being able to charge for any energy consumption, even if totally over the top with air cons on and windows open (believe me, it happens a lot), is not only very expensive for landlords but also not sustainable. I would suggest bills included up to a reasonable level of consumption.

I liked the mid to Long term rental opportunity. Fills a gap in the market -for me at least. I disliked the ambiguity over the end price with the ‘one time fee’. It seems the one time fee is specific to how long the landlord sets the standard rental period, not actually one time per booking. Ie, if landlord sets auto date period for 5 days and I rent for 30, I get charged the ‘one time fee’ 6 times. This can increase the advertised rental rate substantially.

I have only used Flatio once so far without any problems, so it is hard for me to gage how well the safety measures work (landlord doesn't show up, etc). But so far nothing to complain about:)

I think it's a great platform, but when I wanted to book my next acommodation, the commision was super high, so I'm not sure if I will be using it again.
